The new Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) news and sports center was opened in Zurich Leutschenbach in 2019. The new building with a technical section as well as studio and editorial areas offers space for 630 employees. LTG Aktiengesellschaft was able to accompany the pioneering construction with highly inductive LDU floor air diffusers. The LDU is very popular with architects and interior designers due to its narrow, linear design for air supply from below along the façade. In this project, the diffuser was adapted to the floor construction so that it could be integrated seamlessly and precisely into the stone floor slabs.
As the LDU generates diverging individual supply air jets, a quick and effective mixture with the room air is achieved in both summer and winter. This leads to a high penetration depth of the thermally conditioned fresh air into the occupied zone. This achieves optimum ventilation efficiency while at the same time providing maximum thermal comfort for users. Approx. 550 LDU and LDU-W floor air outlets were used in this construction project.
