Axial Fans from LTG
LTG offers efficient axial fans for a wide range of industrial sectors – from the automotive and construction materials industries to HVAC, paper, drying, and agricultural technology.
They are ideal for ventilation and exhaust air systems, cooling, extraction, and drying processes, delivering airflow rates of up to 450,000 m³/h and pressures of up to 3,300 Pa.
What Is an Axial Fan?
Axial fans are turbomachinery designed to draw in air or gases along the axis of rotation of their impeller and discharge it in the same direction. This configuration allows for the efficient movement of large air volumes, making them particularly suitable for applications with high airflow demands and low-pressure resistance. They are commonly used in hall ventilation, duct systems, or as components in cooling systems. Thanks to their compact design, they can be integrated into existing installations with minimal space requirements and enable energy-efficient air handling.

Types of Axial Fans
Depending on your requirements, LTG offers axial fans for both low-pressure and high-pressure applications. Each model delivers a customized solution tailored to its specific field of application.
Low-Pressure Axial Fan
The low-pressure axial fan type VAN is ideal for applications that require high airflow rates at low-pressure levels. Thanks to its compact design, it is particularly well-suited for use in space-constrained central systems, offering high-efficiency and optimal performance.
- Maximum total pressure increase: 1,200 Pa
- Maximum airflow rate: 450,000 m³/h
- Nominal sizes: 1,000 – 2,500 mm
High-Pressure Axial Fan
The high-pressure axial fan type VAH delivers optimal performance at high airflow rates and pressures of up to 3,300 Pa. Equipped with aerodynamically optimized impellers and available with either belt or direct drive, this axial fan offers a highly efficient solution for even the most demanding industrial applications.
- Maximum total pressure increase: 3,300 Pa
- Maximum airflow rate: 450,000 m³/h
- Nominal sizes: 1,250 – 2,800 mm
How Does an Axial Fan Work?
The air to be conveyed enters the impeller of the axial fan through the inlet nozzle and is axially accelerated by the rotation of the impeller. A stator (guide vane assembly) then aligns the airflow into a straight path. Within the diffuser, the air velocity is reduced, which increases the static pressure while maintaining a constant total pressure.
Axial Fans vs. Centrifugal Fans – Which Solution Is Right for Your Application?
Whether an axial fan or a centrifugal fan is better suited for your application depends on several factors, including the required airflow, pressure increase, and system design.
Axial fans are particularly suitable for applications where large volumes of air need to be moved at low-pressure levels. They offer high efficiency in air conveyance and are ideal for ventilation, air conditioning, and aeration systems. However, when high-pressure increases are required – for example, in long duct systems or setups with significant resistance – centrifugal fans are the better choice. They generate higher pressures and are therefore perfectly suited for demanding industrial applications or exhaust air systems.
