The Dr. Albert Klein Prize
As a pioneer in ventilation and air-conditioning technology, LTG Aktiengesellschaft has been offering innovative solutions for people and products for around 95 years. The Dr. Albert Klein Foundation was established in 1985 in memory of the company founder. In the spirit of his innovative strength, it honors outstanding achievements in the field of Comfort Air Technology with the “Dr. Albert Klein Prize”.
The Dr. Albert Klein Foundation regularly organizes a competition in which students in the relevant subject areas can apply with the topic of their Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis. The most promising projects take part in the competition.
The selected competitors are regularly invited to various universities in Germany over a period of around six months and discuss the progress of their work together in an open atmosphere. The expert jury of the Dr. Albert Klein Foundation, which includes Prof. Martin Kriegel, Director of the Hermann Rietschel Institute at TU Berlin, provides particular impetus.
This intensive support and discussion generally leads to above-average quality work and is consistently communicated by the competitors as a valuable asset. They also benefit from initial contact with industry and have a permanent partner company for the preparation of a Bachelor’s/Master’s thesis.
And: success is rewarded. The winner will also have the opportunity to publish a specialist article on the topic in the scientific journal GI (Gebäudetechnik + Innenraumklima).
